The place is very nice and located in a good location The staff were very helpful
The room we got was an upgrade from our original order as the hotel wasn't full (which was an excellent gesture) but I think that even in this room the bed wasn't comfortable as I am used to see in hotels.
-
We all loved the sights and sounds of the country, while being only 30 kilometers from Sienna.
-
Great location, fine swimming pool. Breakfast is for Italian standards good. The appartments near the main building are a good option. The airco in the rooms were nice to cool down during warm summer days.
One can buy (5 euro/day) access to the internet but the speed is if you use an oldfashioned phone line. In the nearby town Castellina free and faster access is avialable in several restaurants.
-
Lovely villa set in the countryside with a lovely outside dining restaurant with good food. Beautiful pool and grounds in which to relax and picnic.
-
Character Tuscan villa with lovely outdoor pool overlooking the valley, surrounded by a wall of jasmine and rose bushes. Plenty sun beds (with mattress) and clean pool towels available every day. We've enjoyed being here the second time and will return in the future.
-
We liked everything at the hotel. It is an idyllic, wonderful place, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The best days of our stay in Toscany and Italy!
-
Good location for hill towns of Chianti, nice gardens and pool
Check in was a bit disapointing. We were told about meal times or location of pool/bowling alley. We did not realise we were staying in annexe.
-
Love this place! We stayed here 5 nights during our three week trip through Italy. It is secluded and the staff is excellent; there when you need them and not there when you don'T. The rooms are spotless although the buildings and surroundings retain thier almost medieval charm. We were in an outlying building that looked as though it was once a stone barn 1000 years ago. A car is essential here.
Except for the excellent breakfast, we did not use the restaurant. There are too many others nearby. It did however appear a little formal and stuffy. My wife also complained about the shower but then she always does.
-
Wonderful peaceful location yet close to town for shopping and dining. Hotel staff very helpful and took time to help you plan day trips. Food and choice of wine excellent. Would stay again.
-
Very good location and large clean rooms
-
The pool was lovely. Gorgeous backdrop of the countryside. Dinner outside was very nice.
Our first morning the breakfast was very stale (cereal, bread). Fortunately, the next morning it was much better. Internet was also not available in our room (we were in the Annex)... not a huge problem, but would have been nice to have.
-
This is an excellently run hotel in a great location. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. I would highly recommend this villa to any traveller in the Chianti area. The breakfasts were amazing each day. Even the dog Lilly is friendly and playful. Cannot say enough about the villa. We stayed in the guest house adjacent to the main villa-it was quiet and agreat view of the country side
-
Villa Casalecchi was very quiet and peaceful after our stays in Rome and Florence. We relaxed driving in the Chianti countryside knowing we had a comfortable place to stay. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped with any needs we had with guides, etc.
-
The beautiful setting, the feeling of staying in a beautiful old family home with genuine classic pieces of furniture. The food was excellent.

Very nice location, good pool, nice views and good wine. Very comfortable place for the base, if you trip for different locations in Toscana). Good big apartments (we lived separate building with apartments).
Poor breakfast. Not concurrent restaurant (after first visit we took dinners in different restaurants in Casteliani di Chianti).
